I hope you don't think this is a rebuttal. You rebutted nothing. This is empty rhetoric. You might want to think about the issue, and then put forth a substantive argument.

See, this is jumping to conclusions.

Both of them probably would have voted for the civil rights bill in 1964. Things have changed in the country since then. Most businesses wouldn't discriminate today.

The playing field is now as level as its ever going to get with or without government intervention.

This is a good question. I would like to think this is the way things would turn out, but personally I'm not so sure it would always turn out this way.

Evidence, please?

One of your pals on another thread is pretty much saying the opposite: that discrimination cases are on the rise.

Which is it?

Do you understand that discrimination doesn't have to be racial? Doesn't have to ethnic? Doesn't have to be gender-based? The proposition that private businesses should be allowed to discriminate allows any kind of discrimination to take place. Economic discrimination that is a form of harassment.

OK, lets try this again.

1) Private business.
2) Non-public funding.
3) Ability to serve whomever you wish.

Where is the "racism" in that considering every private business has the ability to cater to whoever they want. If black businessman wants to open a black-only club, they can. Ditto for asians, hispanics, blondes, brunettes, and redheads.

The real inability of people to comprehend that it is not within the pervue of the US consitution to tell a private person what they can and cannot do is disturbing. The bill of rights says what people CAN do, not what they cannot.

Amen to that. He's just another white fool who thinks that he knows EVERYTHING.

Your denying there are decriminating Black only leagues that play on public property, here in this day of 2010?

What is empty about it. It is a FACT!

Denial is not a river in Eygpt!

Is that something you don't want the public to hear?

They don't want Americans to know that FACT.

It puts a kink in their Progressive agenda. You know the Cloward & Piven Strategy.
