Yet the liberal media blamed the hurricane Katrina, the flooding, and the whole aftermath on Bush.
Thats because there were videos warning Bush BEFORE that if Katrina were to hit New Orleans the levies would not be able to hold. Yet the moron did nothing.
The aftermath of Katrina was is at least partially Bush's fault. the city should have been evacuated. The hurricane itself isn't Bush's fault, but the disaster afterwards is.
This oil spill is the result of poor regulation and trusting corporations to do the right thing (which time and time again they show they won't unless they're forced). Should Obama have already put tighter regulations on BP to have it cleaned up? Yes, probably couldn't get it past the republicans in congresss who call it "big government interference"
Apple meet orange; you guys are effin desperate for anything here.
I suppose "you guys" would include the media and some democrats, who are now hammering obama on his inept response to the spill?

With Katrina, the response solution was obvious, and the government was slow in implementing it - get in there, get people out of the flooded areas, bring in food, bring in temporary shelters, etc. And they didn't do it until extremely late after the disaster - one that they also had advance warning was coming.
You DO realize that the hurricane came and went without much damage, don't you?
It was the collapse of the levees that caused the caused the damage and the deaths - and NO ONE expected that to happen.
Bush warned about Katrina? Yeah, weren't we all? Including the dummies who ignored warnings to get out.
It wasn't the hurricane that caused the damage, it was the collapse of the levees.

BP is the one to blame here. There is no question about that. I have nothing against BP, and I will continue to drive my SUV and consume oil, all to the dismay of hypocrite liberals everywhere. I do however feel that BP needs to take full responsibility for this accident, and clean up the entire mess. They have a moral obligation to reimburse anyone who has suffered legitimate economic distress from all of this as well.
Are you aware there is federal law governing obama's response to this disaster?
But they want to know why the federal government didn't act faster to stop the oil from reaching shore, why BP hasn't been forced to skim more oil from the surface and why their request hasn't been approved to build new barrier islands to help keep the oil at bay.
The Obama administration's response is "dysfunctional, there's no chain of command, no one's in charge," says Parish President Billy Nungesser in Plaquemines, La.
In Louisiana, officials say the response has been bogged down in bureaucracy, hobbled by rules and procedures that hamper decision-making. Responders also have lacked equipment, they say, even as oil has invaded marshes and beaches.
The poll does not give obama or the feds good grades.
"It's an embarrassment to the country," Nungesser says of Allen and the Coast Guard. "He's offered nothing" but "excuses" says Nungesser. He also said Thad Allen continues to "point the finger" at BP.
Stinging criticism of the Coast Guard and the feds.
"Plug the damn hole," President Obama reportedly barked at staffers in frustration after the explosion. That's right up there with "Heckuva job, Brownie" in terms of clueless statements uttered by presidents in the midst of nationally televised disasters.
If he promised us anything, Obama promised us competence. Instead, we've gotten the Keystone Cops.
I already posted this to someone else who wanted to ignore reality. I'll repost it for you because you seem to need to see it as well.
The levees breaking was considered possible, even likely, yet Bush did nothing when he was told. Guess he was too busy on vacation at the ranch.
the problem is NEW ORLEANS ignored the levies
Collins criticized the Orleans Levee Board, saying it devoted time to managing properties -- including two marinas and an airport -- and managing a license for a floating casino instead of focusing on its core mission.
Huey said the businesses helped him turn the board's $6 million deficit into a $21 million surplus. He was forced to operate the businesses because the state legislature cut the levee district's tax revenues in half, he said.
The confusion also was evident in the days immediately following Katrina, but with a different tilt, testified Col. Richard P. Wagenaar, district engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers.
When corps workers attempted to reach the site to help, a local contractor turned them away, Wagenaar said.
"He literally blocked our equipment from operating on the bridge," Wagenaar said.
Committee members said the confusion over responsibility still has not been resolved.
