Think about these words and see it the man is telling it how it is and why he is telling them that way. It has nothing to do with politics or ideology with him, I don't think, but I do see too much truth in what has happened and how he talks about it.

Not just in decline, in retreat* - Charles Krauthammer - Charleston Daily Mail - West Virginia News and Sports -

Ominous, indeed. Charles Krauthammer lays it all out, not with empty rhetoric but with clear analysis and examples to back up what he says. If America continues its present course, as set by Obama, we will soon be in such a weakened condition that our influence in the world will be a laughing matter.

The weakened condition already happened. I'm not getting this. It's not like we were in this awesome position and then Obama came and ruined it. The complete collapse of our economy happened in 2008. If Obama can't fix it, then say that. But it's not like everything was just peachy and then Obama messed with it for no reason.

The World Economy collapsed, not just America's. Obama's apology tour was shameful, he's just another self hating Democrat pushing America into socialism.

I don't think it was an apology tour. It's customary when a new Head of State is elected to meet the leaders of other countries. It's kind of just what you do. Same with when other countries get new leaders.

And the World Economy collapsed because our economy collapse, we kind of lead the World Economy.

You do realize, Roy, that Charles Krauthammer is a faaaaarrrrr right conservative, right? I mean, if he didn't think we were driving off a cliff for being a little left of center he wouldn't be doing his job as a pundit.

When will you people get tired of making excuses?

It's not excuses. I think we're on the path to recovery. I think America is on the right track after years of irresponsibility led to a mess Obama had to clean up.

Say you think I'm wrong, but my post wasn't excuses *shrug*

What excuses? Our economy is significantly stronger today than it was when Obama took over. Our military is actually fighting the war on terror now. We are the last developed nation to do it, but we finally have health care provided to most. Wall Street is getting re-regulated so they can't drag our economy down again.

Good stuff all around. Never would have imagined he could have gotten us back on the path to stability and growth so quickly. Glad I voted for Obama.
