What specifically have Conservatives done in the past ten years to improve our country?
Complaining about, criticizing, or obstructing liberals does not count.
I am looking for a specific policy or change Conservatives are responsible for and the postitive result of this today.
Well in a bigger picture view, Conservative views and the foundation of our country and are embodied in the founding documents including the Constitution.
Recently, conservatism has help slow down the onslaught of liberalism. Conservatism has also been engaged in fighting Islamic Terrorism globally. Conservatism has also keep every state that has it as its dominant political ideology in good to great financial condition, while just the opposite is true for liberal states, such as California.
Conservatives have made gains in waging their war on intellectuals and culture.
More Americans are now highly suspicious of college people.
A large number of Americans still prefer creationism over evolution.

The mistake you are making is thinking George Bush II, or his father for that matter, were conservatives.
They were not. Both Bush's were raving liberals or RINO's at best.
If you were to examine John F. Kennedy in light of todays liberal communist politics John F. Kennedy would be characterized as a raving right wing teabagger.

He sure would. I went thru his museum in the late 80s. I remember thinking if he had been alive at that time he would have been right of center.
He'd be a John Birch republican today.
The feds have done a pretty good job the last 50 years scaring the hell out of the public to gain more power for themselves.
Freed the slaves.
Transcontinental Railroad.
Push for increased national parks and hunting conservation.
Won the cold war.
Held on (to one extent or another) the founding principle of a Republic.
The last decade has been far from the peak of conservatism, so it's difficult to point to anything "great". That said, looking at the damage the left has done (Fannie/Freddie, TARP, Healthcare), "nothing" doesn't seem so bad by comparison.
I believe that we have gotten too caught up with the social issues and away from fiscal matters. When times were good, money didn't matter and we could debate matters that had no correct answer. Now, unfortunately, we are seeing what years and years of fiscal liberalism does. Basic math, if you spend more than you have, you will run out of money - no matter how noble the cause is perceived to be.
Touching on some of the other posts, conservative ideals are what built this country up from a group of colonies to a world power. When people are used to providing for themselves and see opportunity for reward, they tend to dream and acheive greatness. When provided for, we become more consumed with making sure it doesn't go away - not caring where it came from.
It's very interesting that for the days no one has posted an answer to the question, and has posted a meaningful(or any!) conservative accomplishment that has improved our country.
