No wonder anyone who criticizes Obama is labeled a lunatic when we have all these idiots making baseless and idiotic accusations, like, he is not honoring veterans on Memorial day, he is from Kenya, he is a Communist. Enough with the stupidity, let's talk about some real problems, like his failure to act on the oil spill, his inability to stem the foreclosures in America, him focusing on health care when the economy is #1, his inability to reign in crooked bankers, his broken promises on Iraq, and Gitmo. Plenty of things to be unhappy about without making an ass out of yourself.

I think it's obvious which branch of Republicans weren't told the story of the Boy who cried Wolf as children.

Just like the truth...they don't care about the story. All they care about is repeating the same lies, insults and conspiracy theories to rally the base. In reality their manufactured outrage influences nobody except themselves.

I'm not. Recently I questioned Obama's motives for sending troops to the border, suspecting that move was politically motivated. Seems like a reasonable suspicion, he is a politician after all. Well all of a sudden the conversation went from that to Obama is racist, loves illegals and hates America. It almost made me want to defend him.

It's a growing trend in this country: A segment of Americans who hold a deep disdain, fear and contempt for education. It allows people like Glenn Beck to flourish and terms like "Socialism" to be thrown around with zero inkling of what it means outside of how he defined it for them. Very sad.

I'm very unhappy with the deficit and the spending Obama is doing, but to call it Socialist is complete utter ignorance. I can't have a meaningful political discussion with people who lack basic understanding of political ideologies or terms. Now I'll get labeled an elitist for saying that.

As a conservative, I've felt this as well. I agree that there are plenty of things to fault in Obama's policy, with no shortage of example to support that (ie ten years of taxes vs. six years of "health coverage" in order to portray less of a financial deficit is one of my favorites). I believe it is time to get away from the birth certificate (if there was any basis to that, the Clintons would have uncovered it before the primary) and the extreme name calling (ANY Hitler references are an insult to those that actually endured his reign).

To my fellow conservatives, now is not the time to be lazy. Inform yourselves on the details af what is going on, and use that, not fancy soundbites and headlines, to educate friends and family.
