I know most republicans have not yet realized this but its 2010 and black republicans in congress are extinct.

Hidden? I've yet watch a single documentary or read a single book on Reconstruction that doesn't make this point patently obvious, including black historian, the late John Hope Franklin's Reconstruction after the Civil War, that doesn't make this point plainly obvious.
