Ok, I truly want to know the answer to this question. Can any one tell me how I can be pro-American without any special interest group taking offense?

Be pro-American and uphold American ideals like all men are created equal - without a list of exceptions. It's not hard.

I disagree. The selfish special interest groups have no interest in being pro-American unless its pro their interest.

Got a list or examples? Everyone works for their best interests - including the big business pro-American lobbies in Washington.

Nonsense.

Yeah, try to call a union member on something that will keep more American jobs, but cost them theirs. Try to stop an illegal action that a special interest group opposes. Try to condemn a racially favored law or activity without sounding racist. Do you need more?

I'm confused. Perhaps your definition of pro-American would help.

Simple.... Pro-American to me means understanding the Constitution, accepting its premises, and acknowledging that every American has the same rights as any group or individual. Acceptance of responsibility, willingness to work for personal gain, etc. I believe in Christ, but I don't condemn someone who doesn't, however, I am condemned for doing so. I believe American's believe that our nation is a God fearing nation which doesn't mean any individual has to, and if you don't you don't condemn those who do or the nation for being "one nation, under God" as the eighteenth century patriots obviously accepted and/or endorsed. I think it's un-American to condemn the Constition, especially if they haven't read it.

That's a tough one. It often seems one must either be in favor of upholding traditional American values or in favor of disregarding many of those values in the name of "progress" and "leveling the playing field". Even bringing the jobs back to this country would be deemed "anti-American"or "regressive" to some.

In the past any candidate who puts America's interests first has been called "isolationist" and worse.
