Israel should at the very least apologize, punish whoever is responsible and make sure it won't happen again. It's really not hard to understand this.

If they wanted to stop, inspect or raid the ship, they should have waited until the ship arrived in their territory. The whole seas aren't yours for the taking...
I'm afraid the IDF doesn't do that. You know that IDF officer who ordered a protestor shot with a rubber bullet at point blank range? Caught all on video?

He was never demoted and never served a day in jail. These are thugs. Think Serbians with nuclear weapons.

One of the Gaza aid ships is named after Rachel Corrie...another victim of Israeli atrocities.

Barak: Flotilla organizers to blame

Quote:
Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in a press conference on Monday that while he was sorry for lives lost, the organizers of the Gaza-bound protest flotilla were solely responsible for the outcome of the fatal IDF raid earlier in the day.

He called the flotilla a provocation, specifically called the IHH, an Islamic aid organization, "extremist supporters of terror."
Israel has every right to board ships headed for gaza in order to ascertain if they have weapons headed to terrorists hands.

If it happened in international waters, there is no right justifying attacks on ships unless when attacked. If everybody behaved like that, the oceans would soon be war zones, based on assumptions and suspicions.
To Palestinians Israelis are just as terrorist a people as vice versa, it is all just a matter of perspective.

Doesn't this Free Gaza movement pull this stunt every few months? Cynthia McKinney usually seems to be involved. They also had quite a few journalists and photographers aboard.

I think we have exposed these folks for the extremists they are. I think letting them natter on is the best course of action. Sunlight is the best disinfectant!

What stunt, trying to get food and medicine to impoverished citizens of Gaza?

According to what law? Had they waited until those ships entered Israeli waters we wouldn't be having this conversation.
