Instead wonders what they can do to support Gaza and avoid these situations in the future. Ummm maybe help stop lunatic lefty militant blockade runners??? Also if Obama supports Turkey in this mess who refused to let the 4th ID land prior to Iraq invasion I say he should be removed as CIC.

You know, we elected the President of the United States, not the President of Israel.

Even in WWII when our closest allies the UK and France were getting bombed, we didn't intervene. So why is it expected that support for Israel will always be automatic?

Support shouldn't be automatic. But in the same vein, we shouldn't have a President who views it as automatic to not support Israel.

It's a two way street. Obama's stance toward Israel has been the exact same as Bush's : we want a two state solution. That hasn't changed. It is Israel who has been harsh to this administration from day 1, going out of its way to embarrass Joe Biden when he visited there in official capacity.

France was invaded in 1940. D-day was in 1944. They lived under Nazi occupation for 4 years.

There's an area called Normandy and it does have beaches, but I, for one, have never heard of any place called "Normandy Beach".

(I've heard of Utah, Omaha, Sword, Gold and Juno, of course.)
