I hear so much about how the middle class is suffering because of the "rich". The middle class can not pay there bills
They have no health insurance. It just goes on with list of problems.
I consider myself and my family very middle class.
We pay our bills on time and we have health insurance. We have life insurance and have prepared for our retirement. We live well with in our means. Trust me when I say that I am not "rich".
So back to my question, what is considered rich, middle class and poor?

It largely depends where you live... I'd say. If you live in western MD, where you can buy a 3 bedroom house for $60.000 - you are probably middles class if you make $50.000 a year, but if you live in New York City, you'd be poor ;-). I would imagine middle class means that you can afford a 3 bedroom house, go on vacation once a year (minimum), have 2 cars, health insurance and save for retirement. If you can't do that, you are not middle class in my view.

Why in the He** is it that everyone wants to blame the "rich" for their problems. Sounds like a terrible case of class envy to me. "Oh, the rich have this, the rich do that. . ." If you want what the rich have, get off your ass and work for it like they did!

Where in the only two posts of this thread do you see someone blaming anyone else?

Or are you simply venting.

I see...I read it as a statement of what some others are saying and then the OP goes on to (what looks like) diffuse that arguement.

Your mental state ... plain and simple. Money doesn't make you rich, and having none doesn't make you poor.
To many middle class live way beyond there means and then blame some one else instead of the real culprit in the mirror.

Even with health insurance you can still get hit with huge medical bills that the insurance will not pay for and that is one of the problems with the middle class, getting hit with 20 or 30 thousand dollars in medical bills that the insurance didn't cover...I happened to me...I suggest you check your policy very well and ask questions now before you need to use it....and it's a good thing to have six months cash on hand just in case something happen to your job....
