A graduation card sold at local stores has been pulled from shelves after a civil rights group raised concerns about the content. The group claims the card's micro-speaker plays a greeting that's racist.
don't these bozos have anything useful they could be doing?
Is there a more ignorant collective group of black people on the planet than the NAACP? I saw quite a few black holes in that video, complete voids of all intelligence behind a microphone.
i suggest they consult reality.. that would be a welcome change for the better, don't you think?
do you think hallmark would have a card for sale for three years that was actually racist?
Of course not but the NAACP had a meeting and realized they hadn't been in the news lately so they made up another story about racism to be outraged about.

When one reads the rest of the article, it is evident why the NAACP protested.

Members of the Los Angeles NAACP (http://search.abclocal.go.com/search/results?station=kabc&search=siteSearch&q=Los+Angel es+NAACP - broken link) did take notice. As characters known as "Hoops" and "Yoyo" banter on, African American leaders hear offensive language.
"And you black holes, you are so ominous. Watch your back," the card vocalizes.
Hallmark says it is "holes" but the NAACP person say she hears "whores".

"You hear the 'r' in there. 'Whores,' not, 'holes.' The 'r' is in there," said Minnie Hatley of the Los Angeles NAACP.
Hallmark sent Eyewitness News a transcript of what the card says, but Hatley says that the actual audio raises questions.
"It sounds like a group of children laughing and joking about blackness, again," said another NAACP member.
I don't know whether some at Hallmark were intentionally making it sound like Black people talking or whether Hallmark didn't mean it to come off as Black people talking about whores even if the end result gives that impression.
Let me get this straight. A card with a crappy speaker says "black holes" and they want to hear "black whores", so they do. And when they force their minds to hear it, they get their panties twisted like menstruating females who just leaked into their white pants for the past 5 hours. Does that sound about right?
Go cry me a river, build me a bridge, and chauffer me over the whole kit'n'kaboodle in a horse-drawn carriage. This is ridiculously stupid.
