Jesus clearly says it in the Bible,
"give your money to the poor and follow me (Jesus)"

If the government is supposed to be Christian (anti-abortion, anti-gay),
then the government should give money to the poor.

Matthew 19 - Passage*Lookup - New International Version - BibleGateway.com

21Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
22When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.
23Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

It is a FACT that conservatives give more to charity than liberals or any other group.

What they don't like is the government stealing money to give to liberal pet causes.

We prefer to give to the needy , not having it confiscated to reward the savages for their votes .

Um, there are poor conservatives you know. But I take it you think the government only gives to poor liberals?

Nothing will make you "liberal" faster than being in need.

Clearly another ignorant statement in another thread title.

Troll much? "Survey says....?"

The people in fly-over states that get "farming subsidies" are far from being liberal.

Who is stealing who's money?
Are you calling taxes stealing? because then you are going against Jesus and are on the side of the devil.

Mark 12 - Passage*Lookup - New International Version - BibleGateway.com

Paying Taxes to Caesar

13Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words. 14They came to him and said, "Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity. You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? 15Should we pay or shouldn't we?" But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. "Why are you trying to trap me?" he asked. "Bring me a denarius and let me look at it." 16They brought the coin, and he asked them, "Whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?"
"Caesar's," they replied.

17Then Jesus said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's."
And they were amazed at him.
