Does anyone here have relatives who landed on that beach 66 years ago today? My BIL is one who did and who survived it. He is 87 now.

my father was a pilot in WW2 he flew several planes. The B-24, the P51 and the B-29 I am not sure if he was over normandy or not. he also flew in korea and in VN. as a young teenager I went to normandy beach and looked up at the cliffs. it was daunting to say the least I can't imagine scaling it under peaceful conditions let alone under fire. the memory has stayed with me for my life
