They would still be fighting amoung themselves like thr iranian ;Iraq. They sided with geramny in WWII rememebr aginst the allies. much of it is about land and power as always. It wise to rememeber the length of wars between european powers that culminated with their basically destroying and bankrupt all of europe; even the winners; by the end of WWII.

Plus the fact the U.S. needs the oil, we would still be sticking our noses into their affairs and stirring up the hornet's nest. Just like we did with the Iran-Iraq war.

Also, more Palestinians have been killed by neighboring nations than by Israel.

That said, it would be nice to see a Palestinian State living in peace with Israel but it will never happen.
The Jews who established and immigrated to Israel were Ashkenazi Jews of Eastern Europe and Germany. Which is one of the main problems the Arab and Muslim world has with the Nation of Israel! They see them as outsiders from a foreign land, who were PLACED THERE ILLEGITIMATELY by the United States and Britain.

Just curious, what others here think about this. I'm not being an anti Semite, and I'm not saying that the Jews are the root of all evil, after all it was Brittan who gave them the land.
If the British and other countries had not arbitrarily drawn the borders of so many countries after WWI and WWII, there would be a lot less problems in the world. I think choosing just one example of their hubris does their total cok-up injustice.

Oh, and I do not think there would be any homeland in Palestine, because all the Arabs would refuse to give them any land, just as they all refuse to give them any land today.

Because no other peoples had ever established a national homeland in "Palestine" since the jews had done it 2,000 years before, the British looked favorably upon the creation of a Jewish homeland throughout all of Palestine. The Jews had already begun a mass immigration into Palestine in the 1880's in an effort to rid the land of swamps and malaria and prepare for a rebirth of Isreal. This Jewish effort to revitalize the land attracted an equally large immigration of Arabs from neighboring areas who were drawn by employeement opportunities and healthier living conditions. There was never any attempt to "rid" the area of what few indigenous Arabs there were or those Arab masses that immigrated to this area along with the jews.
The middle east war is not now and never was a conflict between Isrealis/Jews on the one hand and Palestinians on the other. The term Palestinian itself had referred to Israeli Jews back in the 1940's, and had been slowly deconstructed and redifined to refer to Arabs on the west bank and gaza, The middle east conflict was always a war by Arabs against jews not a conflict between Palestinians and Israelis. The war was repackaged as a conflict between Jews and Palestians by Arab fascist regimes. These regimes had never had any interest in palestinians a palestinian state or in palestinian nationalism before 1967. That is because Palestinian nationalism did not and does not exist. The Palestinians were a regional group of Arabs having virtually no cultural nor national distinctive traits separating them from Syrians,Lebanese, or Jordanians. They are basically Arabs.
The middle east war continues because it is really an Arab Israeli war not a Palestinian Israeli conflict. It is also a large part a war between barbarism and civilization. In many ways an Islamic Jihad against the Jews.

I'm not being an anti Semite, and I'm not saying that the Jews are the root of all evil...

"Actually Irans uprising can be tied to Israels existence."

"Without the formation of Israel, perhaps the Shah would have never been overturned, and if he was overturned, perhaps the Ayatollah wouldn't have been their ruler."

"Also, without the United States close ties to Israel, we probably wouldn't have backed Saddam Hussein in his bid to take over Iraq, which would have ended that conflict."

"Without the spread of radical Islam, brought about in part by the formation of Israel, the Thai version of Islam may have been considerably more liberal in its following, and not as radical as it is today."

How would these opinions of yours differ if you were an anti-Semite who believed Jews were the root of all evil?

Absolutely false. The majority of Israelis are of non-European background. And no one was placed there "illegitimately".

One of the very few posts on these Israel threads with any historical substance. Most of the posts are shallow, and even worse, misstatements of fact or outright lies. The post I quoted above is just one example.
