I was wtaching " Whaling Wars" and got to thinking. While I totally oppose whaling and support their cause, I always find the activists to be people that are generally pompous and egotistical, unstable and the classic "dirty hippy" stereotype. They hurt their own cause by acting so idiotic on TV when they could find activists that present a more positive image. But an interesting show would be to have protestors harrass oil derricks and tankers. Obviously they couldn't be as aggressive or hysterical and risk destruction of property but they could get their message across.

I agree 100%. The sad fact of the matter is, as far as I understand the laws/rules, the protesters are the ones in the wrong. The loop holes actually allow for the Japanese to whale. I am all for plugging those loop holes, but as it stands right now, the Sea Sheppard folks are the ones doing the illegal activities. All that money spent to try to make a point, illegally, should be spent in a more constructive way. All that money... in fuel alone... just to watch whales get yanked up on a ship and slaughtered. Almost comical.
