Addict the many on entitlements, abet the irresponsible---and ensure the beholden understand who hands out the 'government crack'---for the mere price of 'your vote', and ultimately...your liberty.
They are, after all, the compassionate Party of the People. Always ready and willing to give you the shirt off someone else's back.

This is one way conservatives fail to understand anyone that doesn't agree with them. You lump us all into one group assuming we don't do anything for the country while bragging about everything your party does.
I make it a point to give 5% of my yearly income to charity (which comes out to be around 10,000$). Most of it goes to homeless shelters, food pantries and Lymphoma research. So quit making those black and white statements about what liberals do and don't do.
And yes, I DO like social progams. They're another way to help out the less fortunate.

I don't give money to charities, because half of it goes to administrative costs. I don't give money to panhandlers, I give food.
By the way, do you ask the volunteers in your parish what political ideology they ascribe to, or do you merely assume they are conservative? IMHO most of America is squarely in the middle of the road politically. I've never asked the people in the homeless mission I volunteer for if they are liberal or conservative.

In general as well, those who drive cars plastered with "hope" and "change" stickers tend not to be conservative (who the hell puts stickers on their cars in the first place?).
I do not see the "hope" and "change" stickers on cars at volunteer events in which work or money is required. That priveledge is the specific area of protests and bitching, in which liberals are specialists. Some call them "activists", which is confusing, as they are far from active in any endeavor with the exception of whining.

I don't put stickers on my car, neither do most of the other members of the "We Hate America" lodge I belong to...it gives us away as Godless libs.

It seems as though the liberals are very fond of calling for more taxes to feed the social programs they desire.
Simple question- if you like taxes so much, why not just voluntarily pay more? It seems like a simple solution and would satisfy many of the fiscal demands that you desire. Warren Buffet, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates could contribute billions. Even George Soros, although not a citizen, could contribute.
Further, when liberals complain that conservatives don't give enough to charity, why is it that conservatives already give more to charity than liberals? Seems odd, doesn't it? If charity is such a talking point for libs, why not actually give to charity?
Anyone who takes a liberal at face value, on any issue, if being foolish - extremely foolish.
