According to the Turks the Palestinians are good and anyone who helps them is good, but yet the Kurds are bad and anyone who helps them is bad. The Kurds have just as much of a right to their own country as the Palestinians do.
That entire area that surrounds Israel is about nothing more than ethnic cleansing and yet there are people who support them and make excuses for them.

Israel has made very clear that they will allow aid into the area and the process by which they will get it there. Purposely going against it and creating a confrontation (thus making it take longer) indicates that you are more interested in a political statement than in getting the aid to its destination.

Why are people surprised that Israel is doing exactly what they said they would do? Love 'em or hate 'em, they never bullsh*t.

Obviously you didn't read the link. I'm embarassed for you.
"to cause trouble...."? Yes, humanitarian aid and nobel peace prize winners and former UN secretaries are clearly ALWAYS total rabble rousers.

so we going for grammar points today? sheesh, talk about shooting the messenger, I was referencing the original author on the article.
The principle being upheld bt JFK, legitimate self-defense, is timeless.

What if a ship was coming to New York loaded with rockets for enemy combatants on US shores? Would it not be reasonable to stop any shipments of weapons that were destined to be used on our own citizens?

Liberalism is a faith based on self hate. The desire for self destruction does not extend to other people who do not suffer from such afflictions. Among those with common sense, the preference is to avoid rocket attacks and use any means necessary to avoid being killed.

Actually despite realizing that Operation Iraqi Freedom/Liberation would likely (and has) provide Kurdish terror groups with a safe haven in Northern Iraq to launch attacks against Eastern Turkey, they still helped the US invade by allowing Turkish/American bases to move material and act as staging grounds.

So you might want to re-think your simplistic view on Turkey. Especially considering the fact that they are still US allies despite the vast support the US is giving the Kurds of Northern Iraq. Do you think Israel would still be allied with us if we had the kind of presence we have in the Kurdish areas of Iraq in the Shiite areas of Lebanon and we were supporting, training and arming tacitly pro-Hezbollah leaders and groups?

Countries have done the same and even sunk vesels when they had a blockage thru out history. The britiish actaully continued to block geramn ports until the peace was actually sign after germany surrendered.Anyone going thru must know they are going to be search or they face trouble and know it. many are looking for a fightto use as propoganda.JFK was going to stop russian ship during the cuban missle crisis to be searched.

So...what happened to the aid on the ship?
Nevermind I found out....

The Israeli Navy has agreed that the contents of the ship will be searched for contraband and delivered to Gaza.
