They knew it was not going to work either. All they wanted is a blank check to use to get their Anti Americanism agenda started and in place.

That's what I call Porkulus - The Failed Stimulus.

You know, a little play on words.

More like a noun and adjective.

Stimulus was a half-baked effort that had some positives, but not nearly enough. It did help local governments for the last two years, but that is it. The money was not enough to really have a huge effect. We needed an all-out effort that required 3-4 trillion dollars at the minimum. Where are the roads, renovations they talked about?

Caught mine too but I didn't want to say anything for fear of having
my post reported.

You mean ONE year. The Failed Stimulus was signed Feb/Mar of 2009.

It only put off the inevitable.

This is a small personal story, but...

The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute took some stimulus funds and put together an excellent program aimed at lower 48 retail businesses and restaurants---I have just started using their services and have already seen a good increase in sales, and I can see that I'm going to be able to hire a couple more workers this year.

The marketing Institute is primarily funded by a tax that we processors pay and they have done a stellar job of using our money to our best advantage, but they have completely outdone themselves this year, and they used that stimulus money as it was meant to be used. So it only created a couple of jobs in my little world....one small business at a time.

Here's something to ponder;

Bet not many people knew THAT little fact.

msnbc tv- msnbc.com

"Stimulus not well thought out".

No way!

Watch the video at MSNBC and LOOK at the faces of the dems sitting around the table.

Obama promised if we spent $1 Trillion dollars on the stimulus, UE would NOT rise above 8%.
It is called the lack of FREE enterprise and the belief therein!

Didn't say there was anything wrong with it. Your intent was to bring attention to the thread and it worked.

Not to quibble, but if the "failed stimulus failed" wouldn't that mean it was a success, having failed to fail?

No. The first word of the sentence was "WHY". It could only have an opposite meaning if taken out of context.
