This video seems promising in the clean up---it has been used before. I'm surprised it has not been suggested because it would be much safer for everyone and everything.

so this begs the question is bio-remediation part of the BP response or the US Governments plan?

So ok, then why aren't they using it? It's hard to believe Obama and BP wants this to get worse to further any agenda. The only thing it is doing is hurting any agenda either would have.

I took that bolded statement, which you say is a quote from Obama, to mean what it says: that every idea that has been proposed has been considered. It does not say that any of them have been tried. My point is that those that seem to have merit ought to be triaged and tried. I'm not quite sure why you are arguing. I agree with you, ideas should be evaluated and the best of them tried.

I saw the demo with hay, and it leaves behind clear water. I think that's the kind of idea that should be tried.
