I'm considering a move to the area, but I fear that my industry (intl/law/econ) is not a match for the area (laid-back/beach) etc. After earning a 6-figure NY salary, I know I will take a pay cut, but I hope that it won't be too drastic. Any ideas/thoughts?

I am also looking for family friendly neighborhoods...

What does intl/law/econ mean? International law and economics? I know of no major law firms on the Treasure Coast outside of the regional personal injury firms.

I'd be shocked if you could find anything comparable in PSL at all. Even West Palm Beach/Boca might be stretch... Ft. Lauderdale or Miami would be where you're going to have to look.

Think you need to do some major hunting to find any law firms that would equal a major NY law firm if you're looking to stay in high end law. There are local attorneys in these forum actually but they normally don't say they are. I suggest you look in to West Palm or Palm Beach firms.

Our area is not fast paced like NY would be in your field, and you might find a better fit for lifestyle further south as well. More going on. More expensive as well.

We like it here for the very reasons that people choose to live here and work in West Palm Beach.
