Well, my dad jumped first. We mentioned "relocate to FL" and he bought a condo in Ft Pierce this week.

Our original thought was Tampa area...I'm open to exploring being closer to my parents, even though this will only be a second home for them.

My biggest concerns are schools, schools, schools, nice 4 bedroom home for 120k, and close enough to the beach.

Where can I go?

I'm *open* to private Catholic school, which is where my kids are currently here in NH.

From what I've read Ft Pierce isn't it in the schools department. Where in a 30-45 minute radius up or down the coast with the other parameters are good school districts? or Catholic schools in that area I can check into?

Try Vero Beach, just north of Fort Pierce. Port St. Lucie Schools are also better regarded than Fort Pierce schools, even though technically part of the same county. Definitely could swing a 4br there for 120k.

Martin County Schools, just south of Port St. Lucie are considered some of the better in the state. But,120k for a 4br in Martin County will be a big stretch.

Default Schools

You didn't say how old your kids are. There's St. Anns and St. Anastasia in Fort Pierce for grammar school kids and John Carroll HS in FP. Good luck and enjoy the beach.
