The City Council Monday unanimously approved both site plans: one for Oculus Surgical Inc, a German ophthalmic diagnostic-and-surgical equipment company that would create 50 jobs; and another for unnamed hotel-retail project.

Oculus Surgical has approval to build a $6.9 million, 50,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution center on 9 acres on Discovery Way between Village Parkway and Tom Mackie Boulevard.

The company already employs about 30 people in a facility in a commerce park in St. Lucie West.

It plans to relocate those employees to the new facility when it opens.

Palm City-based Tradition One LLC, is approved to build a four-story, 82-room hotel and two 5,238-square-foot retail buildings on Village Parkway at Discovery Way, according to city records.

Since the city assumed ownership of the Tradition Commerce Park in June 2018, it has approved land deals for companies such as a Publix, for a store at the northeast corner of Becker Road and Village Parkway; Accel International Inc., of Meriden, Connecticut, a technology manufacturer for the aerospace, medical, industrial and computer markets; and Capital Brands Retail, of Boynton Beach, a developer proposing to build restaurants and retailers.

Miami developer targets western Port St. Lucie for 372-unit apartment complex

The City Council on Nov. 4 approved selling 19.4 acres to AHS Residential LLC for $4.8 million. The property will house four or five story buildings just south of Southwest Discovery Way, along Village Parkway.

Construction is expected to start in the second quarter of 2020 and be completed by 2021, according to a news release about the project.

Rent will start at about $1,000 for a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment and $1,250 for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit.

well we know the rent will NEVER be $1000 at any time, even for a tiny anything especially a year from now.
It surpassed that before when the current rental complex said they would start at $900 for a 1 bedroom and it never happened and haven't been that low for a long time. Certainly not in Tradition. Maybe in Ft Pierce

Nice fake lead for them
