Hi Folks,

My husband and I noticed a cute house in this neighborhood and wanted to get your take on the it. It looks nice...cute key west style homes with a community boat ramp, etc. It's off of St. James in between Midway and Floresta.

Are the schools in the area good? Good neighbors? Are there any "rough' neighborhoods close by?

Thanks!

I have clients that have been looking in there too. Nice area of homes. All we found is that there are multiple HOA's in there and the rules change with each one pertaining to how many pets and if you can have a fence or not. That was one of their criterias. I am not familiar with the school that is nearby. I will say that shopping is minimal in that area.

Yeah- that's north PSL- not much up there between PSL and Ft Pierce. It'll be in the PSL school district, so don't get excited. The schools in this county are so-so at best. It's the 1 thing that I do NOT like about this area. Oh well, I hope you find what you're looking for!!

We visited the neighborhood today. The neighborhood itself was nice...BUT you had to drive through the ghetto area to get there .We came from the south...took Floresta to Airoso. Disappointing.

I hate that for ya Allison. Seems that is all too common in PSL- even in the northern areas. Hope you find something nice with a decent view!!

All of the houses right off of Floresta were in bad shape. Old and unkept with cars parked in the grass is not what I would want to drive through on the way to my house. It was weird, some houses along the road were okay, then right next door would be a nasty mess!

Makes more sense now... So more like a run down area rather than an actual Ghetto ....

I also think that's what happens in a economically depressed real estate market. If all were perfect we would all be paying so much more than homes are selling for now...
On a side note Allison81 if the area of the home you want is nice , see if there's just a different way to get there

Unless you live in a gated community or a HOA-run development, that is PSL in a nutshell. That is why I like Tradition!! You have to drive Gatlin or I-95 to get there, but there is no blight once you get in. I'd look towards Stuart or Palm City if you don't like Tradition.
