First of all, let me say that I think the admission prices to fairs around here are pretty stiff. That being said, I would still like to bring my family to one of them. Martin County is having their fair this weekend, and St Lucie County is having theirs next weekend. This is my first year here, and would like the input of those that have gone to them. Which is bigger/better/nicer/etc?

St Lucie is bigger. Martin is pretty tiny. I guess its what you're looking for. Neither are "big", they are small agri fairs meant for kids and 4h'ers. The bigger one would be the South Florida Fair in west palm beach....and you just missed it.

Yeah, I wanted to go- until I saw the price to get in. I'm sorry, but $50 for a family is insane! I am not paying that much for a fair!!

These are the prices for the annual fair in NC:

Friday (9-28 & 10-5), Saturday (9-29 & 10-6) and Sunday (9-30 & 10-7)

Adults (ages 12 & up) – $9
Children (ages 6 – 11) – $4
Children (5 & under) and Senior Adults (65 & over, with ID) – Free
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Adults (ages 12 & up) – $8
Children (ages 6 – 11) – $4
Children (5 & under) and Senior Adults (65 & over, with ID) – Free
Early Bird Special Admission (Any Gate)

Weekdays only from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm – $4

Yeah I was disappointed to say the least at the Martin co fair. PSL's is much bigger and more rednecks doing stupid stuff.

OK. I think it's going to be the PSL fair, or a drive to Tampa for the FL state fair.
