They need to go up another 20% to make a recovery real.

I agree, but after most homes and condos losing 60-70 percent in this area since the fall of 2006 ANYTHING with a plus number is good. I remember reading some posts on hear by some contributors the last few years that said that this was happening all over the country. NO it was not. PSL was close to being ground zero along with Cape Coral area for the biggest home price drops in the country.

Well Cape Coral was ravaged by storms in 2004 or 2005 (can't remember which) so they had a lot more chineese drywall issues than here. That didn't help. Builders over built here as they did in the 90's and people got caught in the crosshairs. Bad place at the wrong time.

I bought at what I thought was near the bottom so my house is not that far under water. I just need it to go up about 30k more to get out even. My neighbor needs to have theirs nearly double to get back to even. It all depends on when you bought as to what happened. Fortunately my house was brand new (still looks that way) and is on an attractive street where everyone cares about their property values.
