Not an English fare style of Fish and chips, but next time I'm in Ft Lauderdale I've got to try this place: http://www.opentable.com/catfish-deweys
My sister who lives in Davie went on Sunday for an "all you can eat". Seems more like a bayou menus with frog legs and alligator on the menu.
Look at this wonderful web site I just found:
Catfish Deweys - Fort Lauderdale Restaurant - MenuPages Seafood Restaurant Search
Wish it included restaurants up this way.

You don't have to go that far. Marsh Landing in Fellsmere. Probably a little more authentic, and in a historic building too! If you imbibe, try the Swamp Water... but just one...

Marsh landing

Oh HarryWho!! The menu looks great except for the frogs legs. (Can't see killing so many little beings just to fill one belly) I've been wanting to checkout Fellsmere too. Thank you so much for the tip! Beats that long drive south.

If you like really fresh shrimp, you can buy them direct from the Florida Organic Auqaculture shrimp farm in Fellsmere on Saturday mornings. They're excellent.

New England Fish Market is great for their market. But for the best F&C in PSL I highly recommend Lola's Seafood on SLW. I am a snob about my f&c and they have killer fried baskets (shrimp, clams, scallops, fish)

TY so much PSLPrincess. I will have to try it as a proclaimed F&C snob, I hold your recommendation in high regards.

OMG Do not go to Maryland Fried Chicken for fish and chips. Has to be THE worst! EVERYTHING is frozen, minced and highly salted. Yuk! First and last trip to that place.

I'm pretty convinced there are no good seafood fares in Vero Beach. I'll just have to head out of town as I'm starting to thing that food tastes have been stunted here from recieving poor food too often.
