How is Walmart difficult? Just curious. I took both fliers from WD and Publix yesterday, and wrote down all the BOGO's I wanted. Then I went thru my coupons and got the ones I needed. Took all of it to Walmart last night @ 6:30 at Gatlin. There were maybe 20 other shoppers in the store!

I spent $140.80. I had 15 BOGO's and saved $52.83....off of Walmart's prices. Topped it off with $8 in coupons. So I saved $60 shopping there. Not to mention how much cheaper the original prices are compared to Publix or WD.

Sorry for posting, but I really get excited about saving money this way. It took me 1 hour at the store and maybe 15 minutes of planning at home. I'll take it for $60!!

Also, milk can be bought here for cheaper. A gallon costs $3.33 at Sam's everyday, and a lot of times you can get it at Walgreens for $2.99. How much does Publix charge? $4 something.

[quote=SeetheUSA;33263666]How is Walmart difficult? Just curious.

I go to the Walmart on US1 near the Jensen beach/PSL line . The store is large, usually very busy, the employees are not the least bit helpful . In the past I have been denied a price match because I didn't have the ad with me when their Official Policy states you don't need to bring in the ad . When I informed the cashier of this say said I was wrong , called a Customer service person over and she told me the same thing and if I wanted to talk to the manager I would have to check out and wait, I took all there names and wrote the corporate office and never received a response . Makes me not want to shop there unless I have to . Now with that said that is just my experience at one WalMart store.

I limit my shopping at Walmart. I am ok with paying a premium for employees who are treated better and merchandise that is of greater quality. I also limit my shopping at The Home Depot and other businesses (usually national big box stores) that display practices that move in the direction of Walmart. I feel a responsibility to support local businesses and the closer their headquarters are to me, the more likely I am to shop with them. That goes for restaurants as well. I'll many times over support a locally run restaurant over a national chain. My reasoning? I want to keep dollars spent locally so I can see them reinvested in my community.
