I've got a credit card with about 2500 darn near worthless points on it. One of the things that I can use them on is restaurant.com. For 45 points, I can get a certificate (probably a coupon code) to get a 50 dollar certificate for 5 dollars. Thinking of getting one and going to Sam Sneads. in order to use the 50 dollar certificate, I have to spend at least a hundred bucks, should be easy enough. Basically get a hundred dollars worth of food and service for 55 dollars. Just wondering if anyone else has tried them and was it worth the hassle.

I used them quite a bit in NJ. Worked out well. Just check the restrictions because they're not the same for every restaurant.

Good point. I hadn't thought about it, but I imagine alcoholic beverages may not be included in the 100 dollar total. Or, if they will allow me to purchase 2 or more certificates, maybe I can get smaller ones to make meeting the total dollar amount spent required easier to meet. I'm probably going to pull the trigger on this (it's only 5 bucks invested) to find out.

Thanks,
howlinowl

I have used them as well. I think that you can only use one per table so just check before you buy. We also have one for Sam Sneads, am thinking we better get there soon ourselves!
