You really need to make a trip down here to look at various places. At your age, I would suggest Jupiter in Palm Beach County - it's close to the beach, many young people there, the schools are excellent. Also, it has lots of restaurants and you are close to shopping (in Palm Beach Gardens - another area to consider).

It also costs a fortune! to live in any part of Palm Beach County. That's one main reason people move to this area and commute if they have to.

To the original poster -- Palm City has some developments with large lots- some are an acre. Schools are excellent. Prices are going to be high with even rentals starting around $2000 and up

I don't recall reading in any post what price you are trying to stay within?

Default From Pittsburgh Also

I'm from Pittsburgh South Hills and love Port St Lucie, but closing on a home here isn't fun. 5 times my closing date has changed since January and agents here love to play games and title companies don't do their job to get you in a house like the do up North. See an attorney before you sign any papers that way they can put in the contract about living expenses after they change your closing date because no one wants to do their job.

Nobody wants to change a closing date, especially the title company and the Realtors. If it's a bank owned house it's THEIR fault since they do what they want to and nothing any of us do will change that. It there are things on the title that have to be fixed -- then they have to be fixed to give YOU a clear title. Nobody can change that either. It its the Seller who is changing things... you can always walk away.

I have had a cash deal that has been in contract since Dec 20th and is STILL not closed because of the bank. My buyer no longer has a place to live! since we were supposed to close in January. It's the end of MARCH. NO...it's not fun and the Title company and the Realtors don't get paid till it closes and nobody gets to move in. We want to close and be done with it as badly as you do.
