There are 67 three bedroom houses for sale in Palm City between $2-300,000. Rule out anything in Pipers Landing unless you plan to pay the really steep fees to join the club- mandatory. Harbour Ridge is an Equity Club as well.
Down to 51 homes.... brb on who is not in a gated community....

Found 11 not in an HOA at all.. and a number of others with very little HOA fees - way less than $300.

thanks for looking, now a weird question.....how are the neighborhoods that are lower for HOA fees...are they "bad" or ina questionable area? Sorry to ask, but in Baton Rouge, you have to live in an upscale neighborhood to stay away from riff raff.thing is, though that here there are smaller HOA fees! Thanks again

I cant really say Palm City has a BAD area since the entire area is not very big at all. Some of the homes in that list are further west --- and more rural which you may or may not like, but others are smack in the middle. One is close to where the new bridge was built. Some are really old houses that need work- as in any area. Without meeting you and knowing what you consider good or bad, I can't give you a real answer.

are you down here now or coming down?

Yep! Just moved here from San Antonio, TX where the skys were big and the HOA's were low. But Florida the Gas is high and the HOA's are even higher. Forget about Palm City. Let those yahoos pay those crazy prices. Jensen Beach, Stuart and Martin County areas are all great school districts to shoot for. I am in the process of trying to find something in the mid 200's with low HOA's but it is very difficult in that area. Realtor.com and Zillow are not HOA friendly. Property taxes are a lot cheaper than we were paying.

As long as all of the lots are sold the members can vote to disban any HOA but then you risk shortfalls in ammenities and home values.

as I mentioned there are some homes available with NO hoa's and some with very low ones. Depends on what you expect for your money in a house.
