I see plenty of "toys" in peoples back yards like campers, boats and cars.
Are there any rules in PSL that prohibit living in a camper for a few weeks whilst working on a property.
I would hook up the electric and water and sort something out with the black and grey water.
2 fold advantage, somewhere to store the camper during the winter and cheap accommodation in the winter for my projects.
Thanks.

Sec. 73.03. Use as a residence prohibited.
No recreational vehicle shall, at any time, be used as a residence, temporarily or permanently.

Sec. 73.04. Parking.
Parking of recreational vehicles in residential district. No recreational vehicle shall be parked or stored in any residential area unless the vehicle is stored inside an enclosed garage or other structure, parked on a paved driveway or parked to the side or rear of the principal structure, provided the applicable ten-foot rear lot setback is maintained.

I guess not, but do the mysterious "they" follow through on this ever ?

If you contact the local City Hall and talk to the Zoning Commissioner or whomever is in charge you may be able to purchase a building permit that will allow you to stay in the RV for that amount of time.
It is their decision though and in Illinois in "some" areas it can and will be approved for 6 months for a fee of about $50.00. If necessary they can and will extend it for another fee.
It is best to ask for sure though and have specific dates as well.

How are they gonna know you're living in it? As long as its properly parked....
The bigger question is if you are in a HOA or other Deed Restricted Community. They may not even allow such vehicles.
