We are in the market to purchase two new mattresses. Looking for recommendations on the best places to buy. We have usually purchased a Seally Posturpedic in the past but wondered if Sterns and Forster are worth the extra money. Any recommendations for mattresses to try would be appreciated.
Looking for somewhere that does not offer a used car experience

Macy's in Palm Beach Gardens was having a sale and we purchased a Stearns and Foster from them. They have all different price ranges and different brands, and the one we purchased has the head part that electronically rises up. We're pleased with it.

For you to sleep on or guest rooms?

I couldn't LIVE without my foam latex mattress. It's on an adjustable bed. It's a totally different great experience. No boxspring.

I recently bought another one right at Mattress Firm in the Vero Beach mall area. One guy works there and he's very nice and spent lots of time with me trying all of them out. At my request so I could ask questions. He disclosed all the differences and when I stated my price point that was IT. He never tried to upsell me in fact, I tried to upsell myself LOL.

I ended up cancelling my order and he gave me no aggravation at all about it. I got the refund back within a week from corporate. I cancelled it because I cracked a bridge and decided to use the discretionary mattress money for the mandatory teeth ha ha.

One mattress is for ourselves and the other for the guest room.

You may love the latex foam. Try it out. Put a regular one in the guest room since they tend to be a bit more.

But I got mine off the showroom floor at Baer's furniture on sale when I happened to see it with a sign on it at a super reduced price.

You don't have to have the adjustable frame but it is AWESOME.

Some people love Temperpedic and others say it's hotter than latex.

There's a website I like for reviews and other buyers information if you're not definite on what you want and I think they also rate sellers. It's called "Sleep like the Dead".

Obviously.

My point was that instead of spending $3000 I got my bed and mattress for $700 and wasn't even bed shopping but it was a deal I didn't refuse.

That was 7 years ago and I still love my mattress so thanks for spamming an advertisement, anyway.

I'm the original poster. We tried Mattress Firm and Macy's but ended up purchasing at Sears. Saleswoman was wonderful and we were able to work out a great deal. Very happy with both purchases.
