Considering purchasing here. My husband is retired and I will seek employment in healthcare. We need a turnkey maint free lifestyle that is safe. We have read negative reviews of renters but was wondering if same aplies to owner/resident.
What are the best area condos for around 100k and under? We have 2 cats. Vero or psl?

Might want to look at Cinnamon Tree in Jensen beach right off US1 ...small community but the units are frame and might need updating ... It's a pretty nice quiet place
East lake Village , east of US1 in Port St Lucie also might fit for you but the prices have creeped over 100,000 for the townhomes ...

The condos in Castle Pines --since the thread mentions PGA condos - are nice. You have to realize there are condos and there are a mix of townhomes as well. There are people who live there full time, especially in the townhomes, but the majority of the condos are rentals. The Golf Villas, which are in a different location in PGA, are all condos.

Castle Pines has a guard gate and community pool. The Golf Villas is not gated and open for anyone to drive through. Both communities are before the PGA main gate - not inside PGA

At a price of 100 or under, you are only looking at the condos. Since this is the end of "season" when the entire place is rented out, there are now 10 on the market within both communities. Most of them are turnkey furnished.

You will be paying 2 HOA fees that equal around 400/month - at least in Castle Pines

We have a condo in the Golf Villas. Golf Villa 2 to be specific. Its a nice space for 2 people. Its a mix of people with more and more people living year around and fewer rentals. Some rentals are through owners who live there year around and only do long term rentals.
Ours are $240 for the Golf Villa per month and $340 per quarter for PGA Village. Your PGA Village HOA are lower because you do not pay for the guard shack.

Also, dont let furnished only stop you from looking at something. You can get the place furnished very quickly.

Thank you for the helpful replies. Still considering vero as well but I do feel good about the sturdy construction , and love the open design and lush grounds of castle pines and the golf villas.
