Going to PSL during Thanksgiving week..... (Miami, Miami Beach: rental, condo, hotels)

Hello -

we are coming down to PSL Thanksgiving week to look at the different areas and to house hunt. While we are there, we would like this to be a mini vacation as well for our kiddos.

Can you recommend some decent hotels in the area with a pool on the beach or within walking distance to the beach?

Vistana's Beach club on Hutchinson Island is more like a condo with separate bedrooms etc , fully stocked kitchen setup as well, great place right on the ocean . Friday or Sunday check is the ocean front building I believe
Courtyard Hutchinson Island is a Marriott property right on the ocean as well , very nice hotel
There is a hotel attached to the Shucker restaurant, never stayed there but I have eaten at shuckers and the hotel looks nice . island beach resort maybe ?
Try a condo rental on VRBO or Craigslist if staying an entire week ...good luck

Disney has a resort in Vero. I don't know how old they are, but that might sway them to agree to the move! LOL

Hi mgwalsh225. Be aware that PSL has zero beach access (no bridge) If you want to stay on the beach, you will need to access it via A1A (South Ocean Drive) in Fort Pierce or Jensen Beach. Not sure what kind of hotel you're looking to stay in, but most of the hotels on the beach are connected to bars/restaurants (i.e., loud music, live bands, etc.). Being that you'll be visiting during a holiday week during the season, expect higher prices and maybe some drunken rowdy party behavior into the wee hours. Don't get me wrong, it's no Miami Beach but if you need your sleep, just saying... If you want a quieter, more family friendly place, perhaps consider one of the smaller independent establishments within walking distance to or near the beach but not directly ON the beach. Just a suggestion, but either way, you can't stay on the beach in PSL because PSL doesn't have any beaches. That being said, driving down A1A (along the ocean) or even Indian River Drive (along the river) are beautiful scenic waterfront drives suitable for any family and you'll see a few little independent hotels that have been there for ages on the beach side of the beach access bridges.

Neither The Courtyard or Vistana's Beach Club are loud nor rowdy, we have stayed at both. The are right on the ocean as well ....they are in Jensen beach on Hutchinson Island
