Just heard it myself on NPR. They said there was too much opposition.

I saw something about that a while ago. Hadn't heard anything else so I thought maybe it went away. Do you know where?

To be built on 21 acres, on the 512, SW of town.

The Sunday Press Journal featured a front page story regarding the details,

and check out google news for additional info.

I thought Fellsmere was heading in the right direction,

with the assisted living project in the works and

Villages of Fellsmere project.

I think the town fathers are putting commercial tax revenue

before quality of life.

I am glad it worked out. This is how all situations should be worked out. Oppose something you don't want with enough people involved so the government listens. This rarely happens and certainly never happens at the Federal level. May be it would have helped the local economy but it seems that it was not worth the effort. There is hope for PSL after all.

Should start something. I read the articles and the real reason it got quashed in PSL was pollution. Some pretty nasty stuff. With all the waterways in Fellsmere, it makes no sense.

I live in the county and have no voice regarding Fellsmere's plan

for their future. The city Fathers, I mean Mother has a different agenda.

I feel most of the people in Fellsmere go with her flow.

Hopefully the residents wake up and smell the coffee, before it's to late

and down the road there breathing Vero's sewer sludge.

I don't have an opinion that counts one way or the other since I do not live in PSL anymore (may move back) but from a lot I have read about these kinds of plants if done right there is no smell. If you are a "green" person you should be in favor of one of these places. Either way I am happy that the citizens of PSL stood up and made their opinions known and were able to influence the decision. Only time will tell if it was a mistake or was good for the city.
