Why PSL High is so bad, much worse than Fort Pierce Central High. Is it because the school is in lack of funding? It doesn't make much sense to me. I wonder if we or the county can do something to improve the school.

Unfortunately, many of the St Lucie schools are bad. Some might say most.

funding in the county is distributed evenly amongst the schools, so not a funding issue. So in reality your looking at socioeconomic status of the students and teachers. The only thing you could do as a citizen would be to volunteer to tutor students, aid in the conversation looking for different ways to test students other than standardized testing. Of course a long term gentrification plan would work as well, but not realistic without access to industry/white collar jobs in a reasonable area.

Unfortunately I can't. My kid is far from high school. I was checking the best school data and found that PSL High got a score of 3. That's bad. I don't know anything about the school.
