Yard sale planned to benefit homeless pets SATURDAY JUNE 25

ST.LUCIE COUNTY- It's kitten and puppy season at the Humane Society of St. Lucie, and our shelters are full, full, full. Providing care for more than 5,000 animals each year, and more than 500 at one time, is only possible through the generous donations from animal lovers in our community.

To help raise funds at this critical time, the Humane Society of St. Lucie will be hosting a yard sale, dog wash, and rabies clinic Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at our Port St. Lucie location (8890 NW Glades Cut-off Road right next to La Mesa RV). We are still in need of new and gently used items and are asking the community to donate used furniture, clothes, toys, etc. and we will turn your throwaways into lifesaving funds for animals in need.

In addition, we will be hosting a dog wash for a $5 donation, and a low cost rabies and microchip clinic. The clinic is by appointment only and filling up fast. Please call 772-461-0687 to schedule your appointment and take advantage of our offer. Rabies vaccinations will be provided for $10, microchips $20 and a vaccination/microchip package for $25. With the 4th of July being the day when most pets go missing, it is imperative to ID your pets. Pets that are microchipped are happily reunited with their family at double the rate of those who are not.

The Humane Society of St. Lucie will appreciate any donation to our upcoming yard sale. Items can be dropped off at either of our two location: Port St. Lucie, 8890 NW Glades Cut-off Road; Fort Pierce, 100 Savannah Road. To arrange pick up please call 772-801-8564.
