Um, I've had Progressive, Atlanta Casualty, a few others but I cant remember the other companies off hand. We now have the Hartford and its the cheapest I've found.

thanks all. For all that lipps recommended, geico is quoting $85 a month for 1 car in stuart. Wonder if another insurer can beat that....

Try Southern-Owners Insurance Company.

My premium dropped over 200 per year when I switched from State Farm to them. I saved an additional 50.00 or more by prepaying a year in advance, too.

Insurance rates are now driven mostly by your credit score. Yes, your driving record matters too, but unless you have a credit score of 720+ you're going to pay a "premium" on your premium.

my credit is excellent, so that shouldn't be a factor....interesting how it's driven by credit score when that number isnt' neccesarily related to driving record!

Wow, I'd LOVE to have that, lol! I pay almost double that.... even with a good credit score. Though my car and age might not help.... or that accident a couple years ago..... :-P
