Need to get a sense of car insurance rates in TC (Stuart: health insurance, credit)

We're considering a move to Treasure Coast and neither my husband nor I have ever owned a car (we are from NYC )

Can someone give me a range of what car insurance costs are? We have never been in an accident, don't have a car yet, but would probably be purchasing a used car for around 5000. No convictions of any sort. We would be living in Stuart.

Just need to know if 80 a month or 300 a month is more realistic as we're trying to figure out monthly costs. Thanks. I know rates vary wildly, but just need to get a ballpark. I can't fill out the online forms as 1) we don't have a car yet and 2) we don't have a fl residence yet, so that doesn't help. Thanks.

Rates vary, but $300 a month for one car, let alone two, is quite high. Make sure when you get insurance you get good liability and uninsured coverage. Don't fall for the state minimum $10,000 pip.

Invariably, the people that hit you are the ones with no insurance. If you have uninsured, your coverage steps in to cover you. Get at least 100/300. It won't be that expensive, and well worth it.

We pay under $200 a month for two cars.

I can tell you right now that Stuart car ins rates are high. I moved there from Brevard county and our rates went up about $200.00 up due to the area. We moved back to Brevard county and our rates went down, it's due to the snow bird population. I know this for a fact because my sister is in the insurance business.

$200 a year? That's less than $20 a month. It is interesting how rates vary, depending on companies, areas, driving records and credit records.

We live in Stuart & for 2 cars it costs us $90.00 a month. As in home insurance, the rates can vary greatly depending on type of car, age of car, driving history, age, etc.

I think its way too much, but all the others quoted much higher. Thats with no accidents, no tickets and safe driver record.
State Farm of Stuart had simmilar rates so you could also check there.

Personal injury 10k per /1000 deductable
Uninsured 100/300k
stay with a $500 comp and collision deductable

If you have health insurance you dont need to other stuff because you are already covered.

These limits are what the lawyer told me was best.
