Contact the water department for the actual number but each month you pay for a certain amount of water (I believe it is 1000 gallons but not truely sure). The way it is broken down is that you pay a minimum. If you don't go over the 1000 gal mark you just pay the minimum. You pay another amount when you go over 1000 gallons in that calendar month, and pay another amount for each gallon used until the end of the calendar month.

Another twist to the bill is that you get.... wait it is very complicated I would just contact the water board and have them explain it. I just pay the damned bill.

I live alone and my water bill has always averaged about $50, but that was in Bonita Springs. I remember before the sewer it was only $18.

If there are 6 people taking showers and flushing the toilet, and you are washing clothes for 6 people, then $100 sounds great to me!! As Steve suggested, you should just call customer service and ask someone to go over the bill with you.

No city was mentioned here. Does each county/city have its own water supplier?

I also have another question. Is it appropriate for a buyer to inquire about the current owner's utility bills? I'm not sure it does any good, since we all have different habits.

One thing you can do to reduce sewage is get 1 quart jars and put them in your Toilet tanks. Every 4 flushes that will save you 1 gallon of water and sewage. Even in a low flow toilet it should not affect the flush.

hmmm, I got my 1st water bill for my Townhouse in Bonita Springs, that TH is rented to a single woman, she told me she uses very little water, but the water util bill is over 121.44 (for just 1 single person???)

Is it possible? or is it wild?

Bill: 8/2/11 - 9/1/11
Previous reading: 5900
Current Reading: 16400
Usage: 10500

Water Charge: 54.11
Sewer Charge: 67.33

Total: 121.44

Is it way toooo high????

Humm.. my water and sewer bill for just me ( with PSL Water Dept) is about $40-$42 a month. The water/sewer bill for 2 people would be approx $75 according to the Water Dept. For 6 people I would expext a LOT more than $100.

PSL Water Dept (772) 871-5330.

Our water bill last year (2010) in Vero Beach was always just under $50 for 2 people. We washed our own cars. Twice a year we emptied and filled a hot tub and it shot up to maybe $58.
