Our family made the move to Maine this spring and I'm looking for some good suggestions on activities/clubs/locations for my teenage son to meet other kids. He's a home schooler, which can make it a bit difficult and rather on the shy side. Any suggestions for after school programs, clubs or otherwise that are not of a religious or sports nature? Swimming or tennis could be a possibility.

The
Aquatics department has some great programs including lessons, open swims, lap swims, etc.
The
Portland Porpoises swim club is very active if your son has a serious interest in swimming.
