An earlier thread seemed to indicate that Time Warner was the only game in town for internet in Portland. However, that thread was back in 2010. Is Comcast a player in Portland these days, or only TWC?

I think the only Comcast franchise in Maine is in the Brunswick area and then by Portsmouth, NH (not sure of Kittery is part of that franchise or not).

I have Comcast here in New Britain (CT) for TV. Are you sure you'd want them? (Ha ha!)

Time-Warner has nothing in Connecticut, as far as I know.

Hahah No, I'd like to forget about Comcast (which I have in SE MI) and TWC all together. But with their monopolies, what are the options?? I did call TWC yesterday and their prices in Portland are the same as Comcast here in MI.

One interesting discovery, TWC has all these "specials" advertised for 12 months for new customers, but when you call they don't know the price after the "special" is over! It's not on the website and CSRs don't know! They told me, "oh, about $5 - 10 more....." That was surprising.....well, maybe not.....
