We are slowly but surely moving into our house in Scarborough and are now wondering about internet and TV service. I like that we can get basic channels via an antenna (not possible where we lived before) but my husband is beginning to chomp on the bit for cable or satellite service (we were on DISH at our old house). We do not yet have internet service. Time Warner has left flyers on our doorstep. Is that the only option? Are they reasonable in price and service? Has anyone used DISH internet? If so, what is your experience? It looks like they have data limits. Don't have to make any immediate decisions but want to know our options before we bite the bullet. Thanks!

Time Warner is probably the fastest available. There is one more big one in the area... forget the name... but I never liked them as their speeds suck.

Oxford Networks will give you the best Internet speeds and pricing, but you'll need to live on or right off of either Payne Rd or Route 1.

I live in Scarborough. Time Warner is pretty much your only reasonable option, unfortunately.

Is there a DirecTV option available? We switched from Time Warner to DirecTV and are very satisfied.

You'll need to start some place. Timewarner is dependable and the internet speed is pretty good. They've got a pretty good sign up dela right now....good for a year. Problem is after that year the price will go up and you'll need to call and try to negoiate it back down. I've been pretty sucesfull at that....but when they won't play I'll leave and go to dish.
