Hey everyone,

I'm here looking for some insight. On Friday, a buddy of mine and I plan on traveling to Portland from Connecticut for the day and aside from certain eateries & bars, what sorts of attractions should we look out for and pay a visit ? Portland is something he has always wanted to visit [and possibly move to] so what can we see that would sell him ?

Much appreciated.

There's not a ton of stuff to do this time of the year other than eating, drinking, and shopping.

Portland is a fun and walkable city.....if you are only going to be there for the day......don't try to do too much. Poke around the old port......go up to Monjoy Hill.....there are hiking trails and parks.....ferry boat ride.....a really nice art museum....the head light. Just relax and people watch and eat and relax. Have fun.

OH I forgot it is winter time up there....not a season for hikes or ferry boat rides. I moved to Florida......and forgot all about the seasons. I have only been down here one year......but it is like a summer day and I forgot you are having some weather up in the North East.
