Hello All,
We are looking for a bank in the SoPo area. If you have any suggestions, we'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year!

Northeast Bank is a good local one if you can get to downtown Portland.

Credit Unions are the way to go. I'm using Trademark FCU, and although they only have branches in Augusta and Scarborough, they have ATMs at every Hannaford in the state, so it's easy to access.

If you need a branch in SoPo then look around, there are plenty of other credit unions to join. Some other ones that I've heard of are Town and Country FCU, Cumberland County FCU, and Evergreen Credit Union.

I know that T&C and Evergreen both have branches in South Portland, as I drive by them all the time in the Mill Creek area.
