Is the store location in the same place it has always been or did it move? I visited there but it was over 20 years ago. I'm just curious and how far is Freeport from South Portland?

Thank you

Depending on time of day and traffic it's 20-30 minutes on the Interstate. Longer if you stick to Route 1.

It is still in the same location in downtown Freeport.

There was one in downtown Portland that has since closed. The flagship store is still in Freeport, and still open 24/7.

If you were last there 20 years ago you'll find it has expanded even has it's own tiny cafe in it now. Also there is a small L.L. Bean outlet store that is across the street from the main store and then down over the hill - short walk.

We had an outlet store all the way out here in Oregon. We have a pretty decent outlet mall in Lincoln City but I don't think it is there anymore. It's so easy to order online.

Do they still have that pond with the fish?

We have a new L.L. Bean store in Colorado at park meadows mall. They do have some great stuff, that is sure. They sell the rubber bean winter boots so fast they can't keep them in stock out here. I ordered a pair for myself and they are on backorder until mid November! I'd like to visit the flagship store next time I'm in the northeast.. Great store and glad to hear it seem to be thriving.

They have a tank in the wall in the hall too, with a bubble built into the bottom that you can stick your head into.

After being on back-order for a long time, I finally got one of the Warden's Parkas- it arrived a month or so ago. They seem to sell out fairly quickly.

I have a winter warden's parka. It is GoreTex and very warm. I have been out in awful weather, freezing rain, sleet and wet snow while searching for a damsel in distress. Damsel saved. Parka stayed warm. I stayed dry.
