30 $$ a day to park ??? wow!!

that's just foolish,,,,a town that survives on tourists cant be that unfriendly towards them

reminds me of the last time I went to swan island from bass harbor,,,,, between the parking and ferry ride it was 27.00 and they wonder why traffic is down?????? (and that was 6 yrs ago)
Traffic is down, so they raise prices. Traffic goes down more.

That's basically economics on the macro as well on all points.

It's the tourists and other visitors that cause what few problems we have herein Ogunquit.

FYI, It's not that traffic count is down, It's based on the number of cars trying to park in every lot in town, particularly those located at our main beach lots. We actually turn vehicles away at times. The revenue from the paring lots continues to increase. Last year alone brought a 20 % increase in revenue which exceeded 2.0 million dollars. There are beach on the cape in MA that charge in access of $50.00 for the day and just last year two lots at Hampton Beach in NH were charging $50.00 per day to park. Thanks for your business causing our tax rate to be the second lowest in the state at $7.58 per thousand.
