I've been researching Portland public schools but was wondering if anyone has personal experience/information they would be willing to share. Looking at Casco Bay, Deering and Portland High as we may have to live right in Portland vs. nearby communities so our choices are limited. Thank you.

As I understand it, you may choose your own high school, regardless of where you live in the city. Each school has its pluses and minuses. As a real estate agent, I'm not allowed to comment on school quality, but am curious to see what others say.

Thank you for the info about choosing a high school. If things move forward, I will plan to visit the schools in person.

Good idea, it's been a long time since a buyer has asked me to do that with them. I remember years ago, the principal at Falmouth High School was very accommodating, Cape Elizabeth, not so much.
