I need a good place to have a going away party. There will be about 50-60 people invited. I'm open to a place that serves food or just a place where we can bring our own. Nothing too fancy, but nice at the same time. It will be a casual affair...and hopefully not too expensive. I live in NE Portland so a place in North or NE would be great but willing to consider other areas. I'm thinking we will need about 4 hours. Any suggestions?

You can rent out the upstairs of Salty's along the Columbia which isn't too expensive and is a beautiful setting. I think renting the deck costs a bit more. If I remember correctly, it was only a $200-$300 deposit.

Or you can rent a picnic area in a park. I rented the former Elephant barn in Washington Park a while back.

McCormick & Schmicks has meeting rooms in a couple of their facilities.

Thanks to you both! I found a great spot at Matador downtown on 23rd. They have a great happy hour too!
