IFC announces new TV series 'Portlandia,' filmed and set in Portland | OregonLive.com

IFC and Executive Producer Lorne Michaels are filming a comedy on location in Portland. Sam Adams will have a role as mayor's assistant.

I have never heard of IFC channel, will have to check it out.

The first episode of Portlandia (http://www.hulu.com/watch/206160/portlandia-farm#s-p1-so-i0 - broken link) is posted at Hulu. It expires in FIVE days, so watch it while you can.

The show also includes Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney - a great talent. I'm wondering if Corin and Janet will be making cameo appearances?

Default Adult Hide and Seek

Now I love the show, adult hide and seek, in a library...

The chicken's name was Colin.

Perfection.

I can't wait for the other episodes, especially the scene that was previewed with the woman laundry-lady who shrinks his sweater. How do you know if it doesn't fit unless you try it on????

Classic.

This show is so spot on. Portland is a strange, strange place. Now whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, I don't know. But the longer I live here the more I begin to think it's the latter. As Fred Armisen says, "It's a place where young people go to retire." So true.
